This is Dorothy Pearce. She runs Faith, Hope and Love Infant Rescue Center. Children are brought to her through many different people. He goal is to reunite the children with their biological families. She takes in malnourished and sick babies. When they are able to eat table food, she encourages families to take the children back which many do. She has recently moved to a larger house near our church. Here she is looking over the clothes donated by Port Perry CRC and St. Thomas First CRC.

Here I am working on one of the babies. This baby has problems getting rid of the mucous in his lungs. I do postural drainage for five to ten minutes. This gets him coughing and he is able to bring up the phlegm. Other babies need therapy on their arms or legs. One baby had a stoke after spinal meningitis. He now has very limited use of his left side. Since he is so young, there hope for him to develop more use of his left side.

This past week at school was Spirit Week :-) The students had a lot of fun and it was certainly more challenging to keep the students engaged in learning in the class. Uniforms do help set the tone in the classroom rather than dressing like twins or a wanna-be, or in QCS colours. The week ended in a pep rally on the basketball court and part of the initiation of the grade nines included playing the twister game. Back to normalcy this week :-)

This is one of the workers hired to break out a wall in the second storey of the administration building. This will become the staff room where we will meet for devotions on Mondays and Fridays and also have our 'all' staff meetings - the ES/MS/HS staffers. Presently we have our devotions in the chapel and the staff meetings in a classroom. We rotate from classroom to classroom for our staff meetings, getting a flavour of the various rooms on the campus and the classroom teacher. It forces to visit each others classroom :-)
