Lunch time in the rain.

Water and little boys - a great mix.

As you have probably heard on the news, Haiti has been inundated with rain. Here at the school it has not been a major problem. I live in an isolated, walled world most of the week. Those who travel up the mountain, the roads were an obstacle course. However, in the north and the south, around the country-side many people have lost loved ones, homes, possessions, crops, animals, and transportation routes. Roads have been blocked and people stranded. The saying, you can't get there from here is really true.

These pictures are from a town of Les Cayes in the south. Today, a tap-tap with orphans came to the school. They had escaped the floods and had crossed the mountains and needed to be fed. They were fed and they found shelter elsewhere. The tap tap was returning with rice and beans for the people on the other side of the mountain. At school we are having a food and clothing drive for the victims of these storms.
