This past Friday was the dedication of the basketball court to Katie Broecker who died in her sleep just over a year ago. Katie, while at Taylor University, was a first All-Amercan in her conference and set many first with points scored, blocks and rebounds. She was a great asset to the athletic program at QCS while she served.
The following are some pictures of the Christmas Bazaar which occurs on the first Saturday in December. The soccer field is tranformed into a tent city with at least 30 vendors who pay for a spot on the field to sell their wares. It is a great day for food, fellowship, funds and fun. The day is open to all. A small fee is charged to keep the the curiosity seekers off the grounds. There is increased volunteer security for the afternoon. The addition of the soccer field lights were certainly a welcomed addition this year.

This was taken before the people arrived. You can see the Christian message hung on the high wire for all to see. If you look closely, you can also see the lights on the telephone posts which were turned on shortly after 5 PM. It was a great day.
